LIC AAO Exam Pattern
Phase 1: Preliminary Examination:
The preliminary Examination consists of an objective test that will be conducted online. A separate time will be given for each section.
Minimum Qualifying Marks (SC/ST/PWD) 16, 16, 9 in Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, and English respectively
Minimum Qualifying Marks (Others) 18, 18, 10 in Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, and English respectively

Phase 2: Main Examination:
Phase 2 exam will be objective as well as descriptive. The objective test will be 300 marks and the descriptive 25 marks. Both tests will be online. Each section has a separate time. The descriptive test will be taken on a computer. Candidates will have to type the test’s answers on the computer.

Note: Descriptive test of English Language etc. will be of qualifying nature and the marks in the English Language will not be counted for ranking.
“Descriptive paper of only those candidates will be evaluated who qualify in the objective part of
main Examination”
Candidate MUST pass in each Section separately and should also obtain minimum marks in the aggregate to qualify for the online examinations (Preliminary and Main) and the interview.
The number of candidates to be called for interview will be about three times the number of vacancies to
be filled in subject to the availability of successful candidates in the online main examination and will be
purely as per their ranking in their respective category.

How many questions will be asked in LIC AAO?
There are two phases (Tier) of the LIC AAO exam 2023. Phase 1 has 100 questions whereas phase 2 has 120 objective questions and 2 descriptive-type questions.
When will the exam for LIC AAO 2023 be?
The tentative dates of the Preliminary exam is 17 February 2023 and the Main exam date is 18 March 2023.
