What is UP BEd?

UPBEd is a degree program that can be completed after graduation. Those candidates who want to take admission in BEd course, must qualify for the entrance exam (BEd JEE 2023).

UP B.Ed Eligibility/Educational Qualifications

The minimum educational qualification for appearing in B.Ed. (two-year) course entrance examination 2023 is as follows

Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree from a university established by law with a minimum 50% (fifty percent) marks for general and backward classes in Science/Social-Science/Humanities*. Candidates with a minimum of 55% (fifty-five percent) mark in B.E. and B.Tech. (Engineering) with specialization in Mathematics and Science or any other qualification equivalent to the above are eligible to appear in the entrance test.

For Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes candidates who have passed the Graduation/Post Graduation degree of any university established by law or Graduation degree in B.E and B.Tech with specialization in Mathematics and Science or any other qualification equivalent to the above are eligible to appear in the entrance examination

3- Visually impaired candidates will be given 05% (five percent) relaxation in minimum educational qualification at graduation level.

4 – The details of educational qualification for the candidates seeking admission in Educationist (B.Ed.) in Sampurnanand Sanskrit University, Varanasi, or its affiliated colleges are as follows-

Three-year Shastri examination of Sampurnanand Sanskrit University with minimum 50% (fifty percent) marks, or

Two Year Shastri Examination up to session 1990 or Shastri or Three Year Bachelor’s Examination of any other University established by law with Sanskrit in all the three years or Two-Year Shastri or Two Year Bachelor’s Examination with Sanskrit as elective subject up to session 1985.

*Important Note: –

1 – Sanskrit means Sanskrit should have been studied as a main/core subject in all three years.

2 – Such candidates who are appearing in the qualifying examination in the year 2023 will also be eligible to apply for this entrance examination. It will be mandatory for such candidates to possess the minimum qualification before the counseling process.
